I am very excited to release my second Andreas Viklund theme. Andreas06 was sourced from OSWD, and I actually started this theme before the Wordpress port was released, so had to code it from the ground up. Unfortunately one of the design elements used in the original HTML template, the border around links when hovered over in the left sidebar had to go. This is because Serendipity puts more information at the user's fingertips, such as checkboxes, rss feed icons etc.
Blog owners who want to use Andreas06 for Serendipity need to be aware of a couple of points.
The navigation links (about, photos etc) are coded in index.tpl. To change these, simply open this file, replace the # sign with your link, and then change the text (photos, about etc) with the text you want to use in your blog.
Also, this theme purposely removes the right sidebar when viewing a post's detail page or a static page. I would be very interested in feedback from users and developers because this is quite tricky and could confuse some people, but I'm hoping to push the boundaries of Serendipity theme design from now on. Download andreas06.
