A participant in the ambatch.com SEO contest, emailed me to let me know he's using one of our templates for his Serendipity blog. I tell you I was quite excited to see this because SEO is one of those specialised fields where the enthusiasts and professionals usually like to code their html according to their own particular needs, so seeing a stock standard Serendipity install with one of our templates is really exciting.
It proves to me that SEO may not have very much to do with the code used, and that content is more important. I have to congratulate KDM, the owner of AmbatchDOTcom SEOcontest for consistently getting his site into the top 3 positions, and this month seems to be number 1. Good effort. Now how do I improve my rankings?

The site you linked to will probably not keep its place in the long term, because the extreme overuse of keywords makes the content appear unnatural. Repeating the same keyword hundreds of times in almost all headlines and links on almost all pages, is simply not common sense. I may of course be wrong, but I've seen it happen to many sites before...
Let me know if you need some directions. I am not any SEO expert, but I can atleast tell you how I do it... =)

I make no pretence to being an SEO expert, and I've joined many forums where this is discussed at length yet I consistently find that I can only get into the top ten for a few days and then I sink down to page 7 or 8 again. Oddly enough, I get a lot of traffic from MSN for my technology and language articles, and Google and the other engines bring me almost all the traffic looking for templates. I also get a lot of traffic from andreasviklund.com
