A new theme designed for Serendipity, the column order has been changed so that left and center columns are switched. I'm releasing this theme basically as 'do what you want with it', so feel free to mangle it or beautify it. Download
carl_blue.zip now.

I think I'll switch to your theme soon.
So far I have been using the default theme. Everything that works on the default theme, should work in your theme as well, right?
The freetag plugin, for example, should work as well, right?
I love the way you present your bookmarks. How did you do that? I have not seen this as a S9Y plugin. Could you commit this to the CVS repository?

Being completely honest with you I didn't even know that some of the plugins use their own styles, so I haven't tested these themes with the freetag plugin. I actually don't know how to use it. I will happily fix the theme if it doesn't work with this plugin. Give me 24 hours and I'll email you direct to let you know. If I have to fix anything I'll immediately update the zip file.

Take your time. I won't be able to change our layout so soon anyway.
I got two more observations on your template:
a) I find the font size in the published comments and especially in this add-comment-box I am typing in right now, pretty small and hard to read.
b) I find it a bit difficult to see, which comments are from whom. There is so little space between the line that mentions name of the commenter, his homepage and the date and between the line of the next comment. Perhaps a horizontal line between two comments would make it easier to see to differentiate between the comments.

What I mean is:
You wrote to Judebert "Thank you, they're moved in the..."
This line of text is just below the info about Judebert:
"#1 Judebert (Link) on 2005-12-08 21:03 (Reply)"
Someone who is not very familiar with blogs might think that Judebert wrote "Thank you, they..."...
Perhaps a horizontal line between Judebert and your comment would help. Or at least some more space between them...
This is just a minor thing. I really like your theme.
The bookmark threat is great as well. The one where you have to click on a folder to open it up. Is that a plugin?

Once again thank you. I was wanting to do something with the comments area, and what you suggest is probably the most sensible approach. The way its configured right now came from the MT3 Independence theme - I used it to start the theme off.
Also, I have updated the stylesheet to include freetag styles. I'll be adding some tags to my own entries so you can see how this workd. Your own website really showed me why its a problem, those fonts look way to big.
Also, sorry about not answering the blogroll question, its a standard plugin I got from Spartacus. Its called Link List 1.6 and is under Frontend: External Services
Plugin. Hope that helps.
Cheers
