I just got an email from Apple Deutschland saying OS X 10.5 Leopard will be available 26th October and inviting me to pre-order my copy. Oh believe me I'm way ahead them. I've already been in to see the guys at
Gravis to place my order for the English version. If you're one of my German readers, here's a quote from the announcement.
Now some of you may be wondering why I've ordered the English version, well, the unfortunate fact about buying Mac software in Germany is that it isn't multi-lingual, and there is a lot of German that I don't understand, and when you need to make changes to an Operating System as complex as OS X you need it to be in your own native language.
Gravis are able to get the English version within 1-2 weeks so make sure you pre-order now to avoid disappointment. I think Kaufhof Galleria can also pre-order the English versions but I've always found the staff in Gravis in Düsseldorf and Berlin to be super professional so I recommend talking to them first. Ask nicely and you may also get their help installing it.
Oh, and if the Gravis people read this, a big shout out to you all, keep up the good work!
For search engine traffic: Where to buy OS X Leopard in Germany? Gravis, Kaufhof Galleria, Saturn.

Apple don't make a big song and dance about language support in their software and I *think* that it is only major countries like Germany that have different versions. For example if you buy OS X in Poland or the Netherlands I suspect you'd get the international version instead of the German version.
