Personalized Gifts for Christmas, or any Occasion

Personalized Gift Blanket
Photo Blanket
I love this idea, being so far away from friends and family we want to send them some photographs of us, perhaps framed etc. But get a load of these Personalized Gifts ideas, put your favourite photograph, or more than one, on a blanket, pillow, duvet cover, and then send it to loved ones for Christmas.

Imagine the thrill of knowing that everytime someone you care about goes to bed they see your smiling face looking back at them, not from a tiny little photo next to the bed, but from the entire blanket. I can't imagine a more fitting personalized gift for close-knit families and friends.
When I first saw this site, I was literally blown away, I've put photos of me on t-shirts for previous Christmases, now I have another surprise for my parents - I wonder if they'll use the set I plan to send them.

How wonderful would this be for children or grandparents, think how much Grandma will enjoy a blanket with the grandchildren playing and having fun. Kids will absolutely love this idea as well, I'm thinking of my nieces who would love a duvet cover with pictures of themselves all dressed up as ballerinas, fairies, princesses.

The other half though has warned me that pictures of my favorite actress will not be tolerated, although she'd happily accept a picture of Brad Pitt if I agree to it.

Seriously, this is a fantastic idea of modern technology producing personalized gifts that mean so much more than unwanted gifts that rarely get used. I'm still excited about the potential, just think, a blanket with pictures of me... who wouldn't want that?

Gave a photo blanket to friends last year as a wedding present. While they do not have the photo-realistic quality your image portrays, they really appreciated the uniqueness and personalization of the gift. Especially since the photo was one I took of them and dramatically improved with photoshop.

So it's a really good idea then? We're keen to get this under way in plenty of time for Christmas and the stuff has to be sent to the other side of the world!

It was a good idea between me, and the people that received it... I cannot speak for you :-) In our case, what was received was their OWN photo.. My immediate family, such as my parents, or my in-laws, might enjoy such an item featuring a photo of my kids - their grandchildren.

Just keep in mind that the image is less precise the larger it gets.... this is not just a limitation of the original photo resolution, but primarly a limitation of the size and available printing techniques for that medium. In other words, slapping your photo on the side of a coffee mug will probably look like any given photo... a 4 meter by 3 meter image on a blanket will be considerably different when viewed up close.

The sample photos look more detailed than what I ordered from a different source. I recall the texture of the item I ordered as significantly more rough, so perhaps that was the reason. It was more of a heavy "throw" or afgan... not a smooth blanket.
