This one is for the parents amongst my readers, especially those of you who are expecting kids or who have little ones to look after. High chairs are a very expensive item to buy and often your child will grow out of it very quickly.
This is what happened to all of my cousins, they would buy a high chair and after a few months their babies were starting to look quite cramped in them, either their legs were dangling a bit too much, or it was becoming difficult to get them into the chair.
Well back in the 1970s a new chair was developed called the Stokke Tripp Trapp and this is ideal for the growing family because baby's chair is adjustable right up to child size, although even an adult could sit on the chair at a pinch.
Here's how the Stokke high chair works. It's constructed from wood and conforms with all relevant safety regulations and the main struts have pre-positioned grooves so that the foot plate can be adjusted downwards as baby grows. The overall height of the chair is designed so that your child can be seated at a regular dining table along with the rest of the family.
Personally I love that idea because it means the child is given immediate confidence in social settings rather than eat separately and away from the family table.
Apart from the frame of the chair, it is also possible to buy baby rails, back supports, and color matched cushions for the Stokke high chairs, which by the way, also come in 10 different colors.

I was fortunate enough to get my son's high chair (as well as numerous other items) gifted from a friend whose daughter is 2 years older. We're getting a lot of life out of this thing!
