One of the things I do in Spain is provide consulting services to people here who want to know how to promote their websites, too many people who own websites are also computer illiterate, it isn't their fault, but it means they have a lot of catching up to do.
I could waste a lot of time showing them how to create squidoo or hubpages, teach them how to blog, encourage them to join forums, but the reality is that none of these promote their business website fast enough. Article submission on the other hand is easy, effective, and a heck of a lot faster.
Article submission can still be time consuming if you write every article from scratch, and of course submitting the article also takes time. Now multiply that by however many article sites you want to join, and the workload becomes unmanageable.
Consequently I spin articles and then use an
automatic article submitter, and I gotta tell you this works a treat. In a couple of hours I can write one completely new article, spin it using rewritten phrases, sentences, paragraphs and even synonym swapping, then submit the article to over 100 article directories. That is a huge return on my time investment.
Some of you reading this post will say, "Ah, but spinning never reads well", and I'd say you're doing it wrong!
Spinning articles by only changing words for synonyms is crap, they do read badly, and the only people who do this aren't real writers. I've been a professional writer for several years in addition to also being a full time Internet Marketer, and I can tell you one of my spun articles looks completely unique and nobody would say a computer wrote it.
This is because I do manual spinning, I use Magic Article Rewriter, it has a thesaurus, but picking the synonyms to use is not automatic, I actually read the context of my sentence and only choose the synonyms that really look like they belong in that part of the phrase. But I also spin entire phrases and sentences, so for example I'll spin my phrasal verbs or difficult sentences by substituting another phrase or sentence.
With my clients I teach them how to do the same thing, so each spun article might have three or four variations of every sentence, and each sentence may have three or four phrase variations. After the initial article is written, the process of spinning might take an hour or so of my time, yes it is time consuming, but OMG, after it's been spun I can automatically generate as many as 100 completely unique and different articles.
I use Article Submitter Helper to take the prepared article and submit it to all the article sites I have an account with. Within a few minutes of hitting the submit button, and assuming my Internet doesn't go down, I'll have dozens of different articles on dozens of different article sites waiting to be approved. It's a great time saver, and gives a lot of backlinks quickly.

Look, I do have a lot of websites, but I also know which websites are making money for me, and I know what their future potential is, so I prioritize, I do 80% of my link building and article writing for 20% of my websites because that is where I get the best return on my time investment.
Some of my websites don't need any promotion at all because they are in low competition niches, others need lots of backlinks but they are websites that I'm happy to not make money on because I want to age their domains.
The sites that I really want to promote are the sites that are making money now, and adding more backlinks increases my income now. So I make the time to manually spin articles. Being an Internet Marketer isn't an easy job, you don't just wake up one morning and decide you're going to make money online then hit the golf course expecting the money to come in while you're having fun. You have to work to make money online.
Eventually, when you've done enough work you'll have a great passive income and you can either work less, or outsource link building, but in the beginning you make the time. Instead of going out for drinks with friends I'm working, instead of staying up late watching tv I'm in bed so first thing the next morning I can go for a walk and then get back to work.
Being a successful Internet Marketer means also being successful in other parts of your life such as time management, health, fitness, and relationships because if you can't manage the other parts of your life then making money online becomes very difficult and most people give up. Stick with it, use time effectively, and prioritize on the sites that you know will benefit now.

I never spin an article by only using words with synonyms. you also have to replace phrases and even complete sentences, and this is why automating the process is so convenient. I can write a 500 word article in less than ten minutes, then give me another 20 minutes to rewrite every sentence or phrase twice.
Now I have one article, but each sentence or phrase can be switched out, so in 30 minutes I already have as many as 40 different versions I can spin just by substituting sentences. Then I use the thesaurus and magic spin tool to substitute words, now in less than an hour I have one article I can spin maybe 200-300 times and each article is maybe 60% different from every other.
There is no way a cheap writer can do that without sacrificing readability.

That's one of the things I do all the time, for each article I might spin 10 or 12 different anchor texts, actually you can also spin the URL the link goes to.
Most of my articles tend to be spun about 80% or higher, but I've been writing for years and I know how to change things to get a higher spin percentage without compromising the time it takes to create the spun article.

Combined with the right article submitter, I can see how this makes sense.

Basically, spinning articles is a great way to promote websites or keywords that have low competition in the serps, but when you start competing against more established websites you need more than that, then you start to need links from relevant sites, and not just from a bunch of blogs that talk about your niche, now you also need links from industry players, but if you have AdSense or some obvious affiliate program on the site that is going to be difficult.

Spinning at the sentence or paragraph level generally is faster, and if you're only submitting to a few sites then it should be OK, but I like to reuse the same article at least 20+ times so spinning at the phrase/clause level gives me at least that number of completely unique articles.
If you really really want to guarantee a unique article for 50+ sites, then also spin at the synonym level. I don't often do this, sometimes I will, but usually to give a massive boost to a specific page in one of my sites if I don't want to spend a lot of time promoting that keyword.

This topic is VERY useful!!! before this time, I've never heard of spining articles.
Sorry for stupid question, but: ok, I have an article to submit, where can (should) I find sites, that will allow me to post this article?

Each sentence should be at least two phrases, perhaps three, so just make sure that all phrases separated by commas are rewritten as well.
Also, don't forget to expand your contractions, so for example, 'it's' can become 'it is' etc. 18% is a very low spin percentage, and hardly unique at all.

Instead I rewrite the title and phrases within the article 2-3 times, and that on its own is enough to give me a 50-60% spin rate, then I go through and spin individual words. The entire process takes about an hour and you soon get used to reading sentences with curly code.
