Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope you all have a great holiday despite the crisis. Here in Spain Christmas day is a special day for catching up with family or going to church, but the really big day for giving gifts and having a party is the 5th of January.

We were hoping for a white Christmas since we had snow on the mountains around us only a week ago, but we've had a week of much warmer weather, so no snow today.

Starting tomorrow in Ronda, we have three days of live Nativity and a themed market in the town square where every stallholder has to wear period costume. I believe many of the stall themselves will be constructed of wood with period coverings as well.

As Christmas approaches I know that many of our regular site visitors will be interested in a new template with a Christmas greeting, and we hope this particular design will appeal to you. Its our first Christmas template, and hopefully not our last. The header image is fairly clean and simple, and features a single tree on a small hill covered in snow, whispy clouds and snowflakes falling.

The 'Merry Christmas' message in the header image can be swapped for a German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian or Maltese message by simply selecting the option in the template config screen if you are using v1.1 of Serendipity. Poor Santa Claus, our hard-working hero spends his year managing the toy workshop, desperately trying to keep his production costs down and output up, resting only when all the presents have been delivered to the world's good boys and girls.

Now it so happened that one year things did not all go to plan and Santa had to work very long hours to stay on schedule. This particular day the alarm clock seemed to have developed a warble to its ring, and when you've had a wee tipple the night before the thumping headache just seems to get worse.
