Flamenco dancing is one of the cultural highlights of Spain, and was originally introduced by the gypsies from India who spread across Europe. In Spain they are called gitanos. Here's a picture I took at a live show a few years ago of a young woman dancing a fandango.
Summer 2011 seemed to drag on forever, and even now in winter it feels more like autumn, I hope it doesn't mean we're going to have a cold wet summer this year. Here's a photo I took a while back of what things should look like here, but everything is green instead. I miss not having a proper autumn.
Yes, sunrise in Spain can be spectacular, and this is a photo I took in spring showing how incredible the sun can be. In real life this scene was even more golden than the camera is able to capture, it was like the gods themselves painted the sky with gold filament.
I know a bunch of people want to see photos of other parts of Spain, so without further ado, here is one of Gaudi's better known buildings in Barcelona. This in is the Mila Building and is only a couple of blocks from the Sagrada Familia.
I took this photo a few days ago because I couldn't believe we're nearly into winter and people are still jetboating and only wearing t-shirts. Just goes to show it isn't really that cold here in Southern Spain compared to Northern Europe.
