Nokia Wallpapers

Here's another Nokia wallpaper, this time of a butterfly taken in the Botanical Gardens at El Bosque, a small town about 40 minutes north west of Ronda Spain. The gardens are isolated at the edge of the village so butterflies and other insects are more numerous.

I've always like this photo, the amazing detail in the underside of the butterfly wing and the storks emanating from the head, just wonderful, and I was very lucky to get this shot before it flew away. And it looks fantastic on the screen of a Nokia N97 or Nokia 5800.

As always, this photo is copyright, and not to be added to wallpaper collections, it is only to be used by Nokia phone owners as a wallpaper.

Here's another Nokia N97 or Nokia 5800 Wallpaper, this time of a Japanese Pagoda I photographed a few years ago in New Plymouth, New Zealand. What I love about this picture is the vibrant colors matched with the incredibly blue sky that doesn't actually dominate the photo.

The pagoda is in a friendship park honoring the peace between New Zealanders and Japanese people, and is an awesome place to just sit and relax.

Here's my first Nokia wallpaper, a photo I love from right here in Ronda Spain. This is the Puente Nuevo, one of Spain's most photographed bridges, and a truly beautiful stone bridge standing 98m tall from it's base.

The Puente Nuevo sits firmly between the two halves of Ronda, on one side the old medieval city, and on the other the new town that grew after Ferdinand and Isabella had reconquered Andalusia from the Moors at the end of the 15th century.

The bridge was built after complaints in the 1700s that getting from one side of the Tajo gorge to the other was just too difficult using the older bridges lower down near the river. The steep slope up into the city was very difficult for laden carts to navigate.
